The Gospel Ship

I'm going to start my blog by asking a question? Does anybody know the story behind the picture known as The Gospel Ship? This picture was very common in Newfoundland homes years ago and has all but disappeared. My parents still own a copy and it has always intrigued me, so if you have any information on the origins of the print please let me know.
